We're making history in Kalgoorlie Boulder!Heartwalk in the CBD has been created by artist Paula Fletcher to bring life to underused spaces in our outback city.www.heartwalkcbd.comArtists will create pieces for display in shopfront windows, on building walls and in public spaces.Funded by the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder, Goldfields Esperance Development Commission and others this 2 year project will see my liaising with stakeholders, artists and volunteers in a large scale.Assisting Paula with this project is a dream come true not just for me but our community.

A front facing role strengthening customer relationships and forging new partnerships across multiple industries for the smooth and innovative delivery of Arts Production and Social Impact services in Western Australia and across the country.

Proudly supported by the Minderoo Foundation and The Ian Potter Foundation, the Regional Arts WA Network of Hubs initiative will follow five diverse arts organisations as they re-imagine how arts services are delivered in their local communities across regional and remote Western Australia. As the Hub Coordinator for the Northern Goldfields my role will be to lead conversations in the region to support local arts and culture outcomes and contribute to the state wide network. I'm looking to build a database of artists in our region and connect them to opportunities for professional development, begin conversations with local government and guide them through a leadership program.

Artgold is the peak body developing, promoting and advocating for the Creative Industries in the Goldfields.I am employed as a contractor for now as I submit grant applications, ratify a new constitution and create strategies to ensure sustainability and increase capacity of the organisation. Rydges Kalgoorlie Resort & Spa is part of the international franchise of Rydges Hotels & Resorts. with over 40 locations my position there was to support all the resorts services including the luxury accommodation, onsite Alleya Day Spa and Prime West Grill Restaurant to reach their potential.How did I do that? - Connect with new and existing corporate clientele and travel management agencies, negotiate corporate rates and ensure guest satisfaction. - Create and host in-house events for the pleasure of our guests and local residents. - Ensure all online listings are correct, implementing basic SEO and SEM strategies - Create content for the www.rydges.com/kalgoorlie website. Managing room type listings, menu uploads, specials, features and visual content within the Rydges Branding Guidelines and to ensure a smooth and satisfactory buying cycle for our valued clients. - Social Media management focusing on Facebook, uploading engaging content and images. - Create in-house communications such as memos for staff and guest communication in the form of a monthly print newsletter and welcome letters. Contribute to EDM campaigns through head office and implement and manage colourful and informative displays in the lobby. - Participated in radio interviews, created and promoted media releases and acted as a media spokesperson in lieu of the General Manager is required. - Create mutually beneficial partnerships with community organisations, through sponsorship agreements and in-kind donations. The role of Business Sales Executive at Rydges Kalgoorlie Resort & Spa was varied, sometimes hectic and thoroughly enjoyable.

In support of Reload's Security Services my role as an Administration Assistant was to perform office administration tasks and on the side I looked after the website, e-mail services and Facebook page. It is here at Reload that I realised my passion for training and am grateful for all the knowledge that Lyn shared with me regarding the back of house operations that go on in order to provide training services. They are such a happy bunch at Reload Security that I was sad to go, not only do they provide essential services but are a community minded operation ensuring that local events and entertainment venues are safe and enjoyable for all.

Did you know that Good Samaritan Industries process over 5,000 tonnes of donated goods every year?They employ 250 West Australians with mental and physical disabilities and operate 25 retail stores!What an amazing organisation to be a part of.My position of Retail Manager for the Kalgoorlie Store was challenging! It was a brand new store and still operates successfully to this day.From the beginning there was just a big empty shed and myself and team of staff and volunteers worked tirelessly and creatively to utilise every nook and cranny to display new and donated goods, promoting Good Samaritan Industries vision and services whilst raising much needed funds to support that mission.I enjoyed the creative aspects the job offered in retail design and display and thoroughly appreciated the support given to me by the executive management team based in Perth. Managing a store of such size and turnover was made even more satisfying by the opportunities to train and manage team members with disabilities. To be able to support and empower them through work skills training was an amazing chance to showcase my communication skill set, patience and passion for career development.
