Assisted with the writing of FY2025 Student Support Services Grant Renewal Application. Grant award notification currently pending. Assisted with the writing of the First-Generation College Celebration Grant Opportunity through the Center for First-Generation Student Success, Fall 2021. Grant application was successfully awarded. Under the Comprehensive Substance Abuse Prevention Grant:A community oriented grant, I provided services within Des Moines County, IA. I facilitated evidence based curriculums such as Botvin Lifeskills or Project Alert to engage students in active discussions about the harms and risks associated with Substance Use. I provided individualized presentations to area businesses and organizations as well as technical assistance with alcohol free events in the community, two examples: Teddy Bear Picnic and Red Ribbon Week.Under the Tobacco Prevention Grant through the Iowa Department of Public Health:I actively worked to promote Quitline Iowa, a telephone based cessation program that is free for all Iowans. I provided technical assistance to businesses who are looking to update their Smoke-Free/Tobacco Free workplace policies, including updates about new Tobacco Products that are on the market and who they are targeted towards. I also provided training to Dental Clinics who are looking to better assist their patients with the "Ask, Advise, Refer" program.Additional Duties as Assigned: I provided Urine Analysis and Breath Alcohol Testing and Drug Free Workplace Policies to area businesses.ACCOMPLISHMENT:Assisted in writing for Grant Renewal Application for Tobacco Prevention Grant through the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH).

I managed State Tobacco Prevention Grant for Des Moines County, IA.
