Data entry, coding and material prep tasks on Dr. Nancy Potter's Duarte Galactosemia research, a joint project managed by WSU-Spokane and Emory University and funded by PCORI. Researched the usage of Neuroglyphics software (Dr. C. Toro, NIH) to perform objective analysis of Archimedes Spirals traces to assess adventitious hand movement in children. Coding experience included time-by-count scoring of Diadochokinetic (DDK) Syllable Rates for alternating (AMRs) and sequential motor rates (SMRs); broad phonetic transcription (IPA) for non-standard SMRs. Transcription for the 3 non-consecutive trials of the DEAP Inconsistency test; identified differences in phoneme production. Transcription for the polysyllable word production analysis: identified errors including lexical stress, syllable segregation, intrusive schwa and voicing errors.

As a volunteer, I performed multiple duties on Guatemala Cleft Palate Video Project 1 (VP1), a non-profit student research project & student film. The purpose of the project was to support the annual cleft lip & cleft palate surgical repair mission trip to Guatemala through University Programs in Communication Disorders (UPCD), providing an educational film that will be playing in the waiting room.I functioned as the UPM for this project and trained the producers. During pre-production, I recruited volunteers and established the timeline and scope. Within production, I was a co-writer and a member of the interview/outreach team. I collected images and generated some original content for the video. I worked with the teams to record audio and video files. As the post-production lead, I performed the lengthy editing of audio narration, images and video clips. An academic poster on the project management aspect of the film project was presented at Poster Sessions; refer to education section (WSU) below for events and awards.
