I was blessed to be raised in a household where generational knowledge was cherished and shared. Where critical thinking, attention to detail, accountability, and helping others was the consistent mantra. From a young age, I had decided that my purpose in life was to help people, and I would use my skills to achieve that. Prior to entering the military, I gained experience in leadership, dedication, and perseverance through rowing. Over seven years in the sport, I had been in every seat on a boat in every combination imaginable. I quickly learned that building the best team was a mixture of an art and a science. The right person in the wrong seat can lead to a very uncoordinated boat, slowing all eight rowers down. The chemistry between the rowers can mean more than their rowing scores, but everyone still needed to perform. I applied those lessons to my leadership in the military and leaned into support roles. I am passionate about logistics and supply chain management thanks to my father sharing the same industry for 45 years and raising me with the mindset that thrives within it. Understanding the importance of those support operations and focusing on the men and women that make it happen, I created efficient teams and fostered a positive culture in the roles I served in the Army.
