Current• Aids Department Heads, Board Directors and staff on the disposition or resolution of personnel related problems, including work with employees and supervisors to correct deficiencies and improve performance.• Serve as lead writer for internal HR communications to Department Heads, Board Directors and staff.• Develop Open Enrollment communications using a variety of channels email, presentations, websites, and webinars.• Coordinate training programs for District employees, Department Heads and Board Directors, may recommend training for employees regarding safety issues as they relate to loss prevention and workers compensation.• Plans and conducts new employee orientation consisting of all benefits and personnel policies.• Prepares employee separation notices and related documents, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.• Keeps records of benefits plan participation such as insurance and pension plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Responds to staff questions.• Maintains files and produces monthly reports on workers compensation accidents, consults with departments regarding employee status, and follow up on status and is the District workers compensation designated official.
