Current-Researched and developed presentation as part of larger continuing education course, which was presented in front of PTs, OTs, and SLPs on vital signs and contraindications/indications for mobility as well as how to safely progress patients in MICU setting-Precept new staff members-Clinical instructor for student in one of their final clinical rotations for 10 weeks-Attend MICU and 5 Tower rounds to help with discharge planning for patients, enhance interdisciplinary communication and educate new residents on when to properly consult therapy-Assist in data collection and harvesting for Neuro Quality Improvement project-Participate in yearly Heart Walk-Volunteered for distributed leadership and was Team Leader for two terms and Events Coordinator for one term. As team leader, created anonymous survey to identify areas of improvement and opportunity for change after noticing long period of low staff morale, and surveyed suggestions on what changes to implement to help improve workflow, reduce burnout, improve employee engagement and happiness in workplace. Data was compiled and organized into document and presented to management-Presented journal club presentation on “Acute Rehabilitation of a Patient with COVID-19 Myocarditis: A Case Report” and organized handout with clinical pearls, lab value trends, and how to titrate supplemental oxygen to help mentor new staff in working with COVID-19 patients-Updated departments Pulmonary Clinical Program PowerPoint and E-Learning by researching current literature on various pulmonary diagnoses and updated PowerPoint with most current research-Facilitated fall prevention strategies by aiding in hosting a “train the trainer” session for Safe Patient Handling Competency for nurses to help reduce falls for floor nurses and MICU nurses-Completed advanced competencies and work in five different ICUs (MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, CCU, and SICU)-Volunteered to be part of initial COVID team when pandemic first hit
