I always wanted to be a writer—that was my go-to answer when adults asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. And their go-to response?“You’ll never pay the bills with that.”They were the adults, with all the wisdom. It stood to reason that they were right. So, when the time for college came around, I got my degree in middle school language arts education, figuring I could teach others how to write and share my passion. But even college students have bills to pay. I searched for side gigs I could do between classes, and I found one — writing.Creating search engine optimized landing pages, to be exact. That was all the way back in 2008. A lifetime ago, both in terms of my personal and professional journey and in terms of all the ways the SEO game has changed. But I’ve stuck with it, turning my passion into my profession. Over the years, I've partnered with clients from Main Street to Wall Street, crafting, managing, and perfecting compelling SEO content for various industries. I’ve also worked as an AP-style copy editor and fact-checker for podcasts, science-centric blogs, and consumer guides and as a managing editor/marketing manager for the custom apparel and corporate gifts industry.I might not be writing the novels and poetry anthologies of my middle-school daydreams. But I am creating and perfecting content that reaches millions and makes a real impact in the lives of my clients and audience. And now, I’d love to get the opportunity to put the written word to work for you.
