As a Branding, Ad and Marketing specialist I was the Account Manager responsible for working closely with clients to understand their marketing issues and take their brands forward. Thailand

Two months consisted of marine conservation involving scuba diving, beach cleanup and mangrove planting to help Thailand’s tourism industry after the devastating effects caused by the 2005 tsunami.The third month was based at Suphanburi Sports School where I was a classroom assistant helping children aged 11-18 with their conversational English. I was also required to assist with tennis coaching.

For 8 months I worked as part of the Skills for Employment team at the LSC National Office. This involved liaising with several key government departments (DWP and DfES) on a daily basis to drive forward new policy initiatives. Good written and spoken communications were essential to help influence national decision makers as well as develop understanding at a local level. As part of this role a range of skills were required, including: • high levels of personal and group organisation, • writing responses to emails and letters.
