Contracted with large manufacturers to help them efficiently and profitably manage a variety of waste streams, primarily paper grades. A large component of this work entails supplying Caraustar paper mills with recovered fiber. I also negotiated pricing structure, contracts and networked to find end users for various materials. Co-managed a small construction company with operations led by Joseph Brogdon, General Contractor. Custom homebuilder with our own dedicated crew specializing in trim, woodwork, flooring and more. Under the name Pegged (an allusion to traditional furniture building methods), we also build furniture utilizing reclaimed lumber and metal. At this state agency that oversees and holds most of the conservation easements for Virginia, I assisted in the coordination, monitoring, and enforcement of conservation easements, and managed tax data on credits for easements.

In the Municipal and Industrial Waste Division, I coordinated voluntary partnership programs with retail and industry partners . I also organized stakeholder meetings and subsequent projects related to paper recycling as well as container & packaging recycling .
