Built the States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America (SIGLA) database with Professor Diana Kapiszewski and a student research team. In this collaborative role, I engaged in qualitative data collection, conceptualize variables and methodology, and assisted with website development and design. I also managed highly detailed spreadsheets with hundreds of variables on government institutions in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.In August 2021, I became a research associate, joining the SIGLA Leadership Team. In this role, I drafted all internal documentation, including quality assurance and data updating and verification processes, and developed our outreach strategy surrounding the launch of the beta version of SIGLA. I also supervised 8 student research assistants across 3 country teams to ensure consistency and coordination and to foster team cohesion

As a director with Georgetown's student-led, nonpartisan voter engagement initiative. I led a team of 3-5 students developing initiatives to institutionalize voting on Georgetown’s campus and to simplify the student voting process through voter registration campaigns, absentee ballot support, and educational programming. I have initiated and maintained partnerships with over 20 student groups and campus offices to increase student voter engagement through outreach from club leaders and university administration. I also led the planning and execution of an annual campus-wide voter registration drive, coordinating 40+ volunteers and increasing use of the GU Votes online voting portal by 500%. Finally, I collaborated with the Andrew Goodman Foundation (national voting rights nonprofit) and the Vote Everywhere network of 85 campus teams to build organizing skills, identify best practices, and advocate for student voting rights.

As a summer employee at Juice Bar, I prepared smoothies, juices, and other food products while managing inventory and improving customer service. I opened the store 4 times a week and created daily prep sheets with 15+ components to ensure preparation of proper quantities of juice. I then evaluated the quantity of sales to streamline prep sheets and meet daily metrics. Throughout the summer, I also coordinated with and trained other team members in a fast-paced environment to quickly serve customers, solve problems with orders, and cultivate a positive store atmosphere.

As a NICE intern, I prepared monthly newsletters and blogs, ran the organization's social media accounts across 3 platforms, and collaborated on event planning and donor outreach. Throughout the summer, I developed campaigns to raise awareness about the impact of COVID-19 on Nashville's immigrant community and the resources available to them, as well as to promote census-taking and voter engagement among New Americans. I also created a tracking and reporting system for social media analytics, which increased follower engagement by 200% and developed a 5-page communication and branding guide for future staff and interns to effectively communicate NICE's mission of empowering refugees and immigrants in Middle Tennessee.

I worked for Professor Erick Langer as a research assistant with the School of Foreign Service Undergraduate Scholars Program in the Center for Latin American Studies. I collected and analyzed data from over 350 credit records to further Professor Langer’s research on 19th century economic development in the Andes.

Summer intern for Congressman Jim Cooper. Briefed the Congressman daily on news issues, prepared memos for staff members, sat in on meetings with constituent and lobbyist groups, and attended briefings and hearings throughout the Capitol.

Held weekly office hours and graded student homework exercises for an International Finance class. Served as liaison between students and professor to facilitate class learning and logistics.
