I apply my background in engineering and architecture to provide a variety of energy simulation modeling, energy auditing, and high-performance buildings analysis to help project teams maximize the energy efficiency potential for their facilities. My project history includes studies of commercial buildings, multifamily residential development, and zero net energy buildings. My area of expertise is using simulation modeling to optimize buildings' energy performance by evaluating design strategies for new construction, and retrofit measures for existing buildings.Highlights of my project work include the impact evaluation of multiple utility-run incentive programs, where I have performed field verification inspections at hundreds of sites including new construction projects as well as commercial and industrial energy efficiency upgrades. Additionally, incorporating on-site observations, I have calibrated energy models to utility billing data for dozens of projects.I am experienced in working with multiple energy modeling platforms including eQuest, IES Virtual Environment, Trane TRACE, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, DesignBuilder, EnergyPro, and BEopt.
