Work closely with Project Managers on projects of varying size and complexity with a high level of client interaction. Responsible for multiple aspects of each project including interior design and architectural design components. Collaborate with the project team on schematic design, design development, programming, space planning, and construction documentation. Generate design presentation packages, architectural detailing, furniture and finish selections, and specifications. Participate in schematic design discussions and design review meetings. Establish color schemes and design concepts including furnishings, finish details, soft treatments, and decorative elements with the architectural design to form a cohesive concept. Assist in developing project design criteria and project schedules during the pre-construction phase. Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors. Prepare detailed purchase orders, including follow-up, and tracking. Create ID drawings for projects including furniture layouts, interior elevations, lighting design and fixture specifications. Work with PMs to update CAD drawings based on design development feedback. Attend site visits for construction observation. Maintain client’s design expectations throughout the life cycle of each project while working within HA’s established business practices and methodologies.

Descience is a project in which scientific discovery offers inspiration for innovative designers. The project creates collaborations between designers and scientists and brings research to the runway. Paired with Amanda Mason, from Gladstone Institute of Neurological Diseasea at UC San Francisco, I designed a wearable art piece based on her research on Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD),

Responsible for researching materials that explore the synergies between fashion, architecture, art and technology that use the body as a vehicle. Worked independently isolating and contacting manufacturers to acquire samples for a material catalogue. Researching e–textiles, smart fabrics, nanofabrics, emerging materials for 3D printing and wearable computing components. Hands-on experimentation and development of emerging textile, materials and wearable technologies including flexible computer screens, microelectronics, thermochromic inks, and smart fabrics.

From commission-based fabrication to consulting services in marketing, brand and business strategy, tactical and design expertise, product development and event production. Developed, facilitated and implemented clear direction for client brands through ongoing consultation, Created marketing and public-relations campaigns including advertising, merchandising, community outreach and events; Consulted on design and layout of retail stores, merchandising and point-of-sale system.

Managed the brand experience throughout the business and daily operations. Worked to create innovative and collaborative approaches to achieve the mission, vision and business goals of this new venture; Supported and articulated philosophy through customer service, staffing, as well as the overall look and feel of the establishment; Developed marketing plan including special events, merchandising and community outreach. Managed a staff of 10-18 in a team-oriented environment.
