My love for history began as a child after visiting different museums and historical sites across the country. This love grew into passion once I started college and discovered the need for those willing to talk to and educate others about truthful history. With this in mind, I received my Bachelors degree at Washington & Jefferson College in History with a concentration in African American Studies. During my time there, I completed various research projects on Black History & assisted in creating a museum exhibit dedicated to the history of race relations on my campus. These experiences solidified my career path of working in a public history setting dedicated to the education & preservation of Black History.I currently serve as the Museum Educator at the Jack Hadley Black History Museum in Thomasville, Georgia where I oversee the educational programming at the museum. I am passionate about truthful & ethical history, social justice education, educating others, and creating events and programming that are engaging for all. Alongside my work, I am a current graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, where I will be completing my masters degree in Museum Studies, furthering this passion and love for Black History.
