As a Chief People Officer, I truly value bringing the best out of a diverse group of individuals to build community. Early on, it was my community of talented people from all walks of life who supported my college pathway, introduced me to opportunities to be successful as a business owner, and stayed connected to make career milestones achievable. My ability to build solid relationships between human resources and finance has been a valuable asset to both small businesses and international companies alike for over twenty (20) years.I work with leadership teams to cultivate a company culture that attracts, develops, and retains the best talent to effectively impact our business goals. I lead a team of professionals who help design and implement programs that promote employee engagement and foster career development. Together, we build and maintain an effective structure that is focused on forward movement and daily functionality to make it possible. Here are some of my favorite initiatives:▶️ Making Work… Work: I led the transition to a new HRIS, Paylocity to increase efficiency in Onboarding, Compliance Training, Benefit and Performance Cycles. Additionally, we upgraded our talent acquisition software to Smart Recruiter. I worked closely with the IT and finance teams from selection through rollout to ensure a smooth incorporation of both systems company-wide.▶️ Assess & Address: We partnered with Gallup to conduct a company-wide assessment of company culture. My team synthesized the survey data and used it to add tangible value by facilitating the creation of our Affinity groups and enhanced key benefits, including: health insurance, 401k benefits and paid parental leave.▶️ Principal with a PurposeWhen not serving as the Chief People Officer, I serve as the Principal for my own accounting and human resources firm that specializes in Operational Accounting and HR strategy.
