Responsible for the coordination of maintenance activities to ensure process reliability while maintaining the safety of all team members.- Safety: Oversee process preparation for maintenance including system shutdown, identifying correct Group Lockout/Tag Outs (LOTO) to be used, and work area clean-up. Identify work permits that are needed before the work begins (hot work, confined space entry, line breaking, etc.).- Maintenance Work Scheduling: Review new work notifications and ensure all notifications have been properly screened, identified, and prioritize. Review the complete area backlog weekly with maintenance supervisors to update priorities, eliminate duplicate work orders, and develop a work schedule for the following week.- Outages: Coordinate maintenance downtimes and the Annual Outage, including MS Project timelines, work tracking, job progress, and operational readiness. - Maintain an accurate department maintenance checkbook ensuring the monthly budget is met.

Supervised and led all aspects of shift operations for approximately 25 team members in the Pulp and Utilites areas to achieve department and mill objectives. Accountable for the daily coordination of available mill resources to ensure continuity of mill operations.Ensured productivity and performance in:- Safety: Set a high standard for safety and held team members accountable to it. - Managed multiple process improvement projects to implement solutions to various projects using tools like, fishbone, 5 why, DMAIC, RCA, work measurement, and statistical analysis.- Improved the treatment of effluent sludge using Lean Six Sigma skills, resulting in energy savings. - Led chemical trials in the raw water and demineralization plant to improve water quality for the mill.- Collected water samples from various points in the water treatment system and verified the lab tests did not exceed limitations set by CERCLA.

Volunteered through the ETHOS (Engineers in Technical Humanitarian Opportunities of Service-Learning) program offered at the University of Dayton to work with a nonprofit organization while immersing myself in the culture of another country. Assisted with the development and implementation of AgriClinic, a program that provides farmers a scientific analysis of their soil and offers suggestions to improve their land's health.
