Graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a minor in mathematics and physics at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University). Currently enrolled in the MASc Chemical Engineering program at Toronto Metropolitan University. I am a highly eager and motivated student looking to further my technical and interpersonal skills. Throughout my co-op terms, I have learned a lot about the importance of safety in the workplace, and specifically in manufacturing industries. As a co-op student, I was responsible for completing risk assessments to ensure safety of the people, environment, and the product. Additionally, as a process engineer summer student, I developed key project management, leadership, and organization skills to ensure the engineering projects on hand were executed correctly and efficiently. During my academic terms at university, I have taken multiple courses that involved using laboratory work which include general chemistry, organic chemistry, fluid mechanics, and instrumental analysis. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, I have developed the skills required in collecting and analyzing data using equipment such as a UV spectrophotometer and refractometer to measure optical properties of samples created in the lab.I decided to pursue a minor in both mathematics and physics because I am very eager to learn more about the macroscopic and microscopic world and physics is the foundation of the universe whereas mathematics is simply the language of physics. Atoms make up almost everything we interact with, but we still don't know exactly how and why certain behaviors are shown, and it is the uncertainty of the unknown that I decided to set aside extra course work to learn more. However as the famous physicist Dr. Richard Feynman said, "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics" and that is exactly how I feel even after taking several physics courses through my undergrad. Other than trying to learn about the universe and what composes our reality, I enjoy learning languages and listening to podcasts centered around philosophy, physics, and psychology.
