We activate the creative potential of young people, especially underrepresented young people - first generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds and students of color - with the agency, social capital, and skills to build their own pathways to economic mobility and success in Boston’s innovation economy. We architect opportunity pathways for high school students by collaborating with high schools, colleges, and companies to put young people on a debt-free track to earn a credential and get a great job in the innovation economy.

Designed and led the organization’s new change initiative to empower teachers as innovators and support the implementation of teacher-generated ideas to understand the most promising innovative practices for promoting student learning in four public schools districts - Gwinnett County Public Schools, Vista Unified School District, New York City Department of Education and the community of Oakland.

A marketplace for substitute teachers. ​Parachute recruits and trains local community members to share their talents and expertise with schools. Parachuters teach robotics, scratch coding, theatre, creative writing, sound engineering, yoga, nature journaling, farm to table cooking, spoken word poetry and more!

• Executed the matriculation campaign to enroll corps members into the Greater Boston program, resulting in the highest acceptance rate of any region in the country • Directed the on-boarding of 50 new corps members, an intensive week-long introduction to the region and the organization; surveys indicated 95% satisfaction rate on all five benchmark variables • Developed a strategic plan to ensure licensure of all corps members based on identified district needs; spearheaded the development and implementation of the Boston University partnership leading to certification and master’s degree tracks for teachers seeking an alternative path to licensure• Tracked, analyzed, and communicated cost overages, savings, risks, and opportunities of our regional budget, as well as supporting analyses that provided actionable guidance and problem solving framework • Analyzed multiple data sources to author weekly reports to highlight trends and inform regional strategy in the following areas: licensure, testing, placement, finance, donor and corps member communication (internal and external Web sites and bi-monthly newsletters)
