I created content that was used to connect with organization leadership, donors, and beneficiaries across different internal and external communication platforms. Also, I photographed events and wrote beneficiary impact stories. One of my favorite parts of the internship was the team collaboration. Through this, we were able to foster creativity, which allowed us to use communication to reach more people in Vietnam and around the world.

I served the Director of Campus Experience and managed 20+ team leaders with over 120+ team members. I planned and organized events that impact and encourage the Campus Experience Department. Also, I engage with team members, and promoted a positive and safe work community.

As a former member of the Model United Nations team, I grew in my research, writing, editing, public speaking, negotiating, and diplomacy skills through the studying of policy, and the representation of the team’s chosen country at the annual National Model United Nations conference.

I worked with the Admissions office through providing campus tours to prospective students and families. On event days, I worked closely alongside the Admissions office in set-up, tear down, providing tours, and support.

As one of the two Campus Community directors in the Student Government Association, I worked alongside my co-director to lead a team of students in designing and facilitating campus wide events. I was able to use my experience from being on the committee last year, to lead my own committee. Our weekly events feautured speakers who discuss topics that include but are not limited to: Christians in Politics, Pro-Life Advocacy, Kingdom Diversity, and worship nights.

With the assistance of one other person, we designed a Google site to serve the student body, of 4,500+ students at Cedarville University. The summer project provided me the opportunity to to dabble in html code, while designing and updating content for the student website. I developed a content management system through Google Sheets to keep the website current. The project allowed me to work closely with Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Google sites. During the school year, I maintain the website with fun and engaging content. The creation of the website coincided with the launching of a new software on the Cedarville University campus, a student portal (through One Campus). I became a publisher on the portal, so that I could create the tasks for the Campus Experience Department at Cedarville University.

I assisted in managing university facilities and residence halls with a team of 25 other students. I was able to strengthen my attention to details skills by stewarding and distributing university materials. I was also trained in child protection and advocacy from the university's Title IX Coordinator. Finally, I served as a liaison between Cedarville University, church leaders and camp directors from all around the country.

I strived alongside my teammates to promote, enhance, and develop the campus community at Cedarville University. I assisted in planning weekly events and seminars on campus for the student body. During the events, I worked alongside a teammate in capturing pictures of the speakers, student interactions and involvement.

I worked as a photographer for Cedarville University's school newspaper, called Cedars. I photographed pictures for events and stories both on and off campus. I learned the value of communication, meeting deadlines, and I was able to develop my photo-editing skills.

I worked alongside of a team of students and our AEI representative to plan and coordinate academic events at our university. After being a part of the American Enterprise Institute, I have been provided with a greater insight into research, development, policy, and international relations.

I was accepted into the Winter 2023 cohort with Passages Israel. I completed pre-course work that enhanced the educational experience in Israel. Once in Israel, we learned about biblical history, listened to speakers from all different backgrounds, and studied the geo-political conflict between Palestine and Israel. Once we returned, I completed the post-trip capstone course. I was able to reflect on what I learned, and share my story with those around me.

I had the opportunity to live in Austria for six weeks, where I served as a Guest Services intern and helped the registrar with administrative needs. While I was there, I also assisted Ukrainian refugees seeking temporary shelter on campus. The experience allowed me to grow in my knowledge of what it means to work in a cross-cultural career, as I did life with people from countries such as: Australia, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, and Austria.

Through an interview process, I was selected to represent my city in Milan, Italy, as an exchange student through Rotary International. My family hosted an Italian exchange student for a month in the summer of 2017. Then, I had the unique opportunity to go back to Italy with her, and live with her family for the second half of the summer. I fell in love with the Italian people, food, history, and culture. I enjoyed getting to explore the country from the western to eastern coasts. Being immersed in the culture allowed me to gain experiences in areas where a tourist would never have gone. Also, I went to Italy with two years of Spanish, which opened up a better understanding of Italian, because the languages are so similar. This experience was a pivotal point in my life, as it was the confirmation I needed to major in International Studies. I look back at this summer with such joy, because the Lord used it to grow me in a beautiful way. When I came back into the United States, I spoke before the Rotary Club of Nacogdoches, as they were the sending organization. I provided a brief report of my experience and thanked the organization for their support.
