The main purpose of this role was to assist in the development in the next three year strategy for the organisation. This included:- Sourcing, collating, analysing and presenting key insights and data to identify strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities relating to CHOICE'S existing business. - Conducting market and competitor analysis, including detailed PESTEL analysis.- Applying strategic frameworks and financial modelling to generate high impact insights and recommendations for organisational strategy. - Building organisational capability in strategic and commercial decision making through sharing insights and working with other staff to develop their strategic skills. In particular, a number of staff strategy workshops were run through which ideas could be communicated and concepts introduced to staff and their feedback and insights could be obtained. - Developing presentations to senior leadership and the Board. Ongoing work included monitoring of the external environment, analysis of competitors and markets and sharing of insights from the same to key internal stakeholders to ensure that any shifts in competitor strategy or market forces could be considered and responded to. Due diligence was undertaken in relation to opportunities as they came up, with extensive analysis undertaken and recommendations for next steps provided to the CEO and senior leadership.
