Heading up major events, creating, planning and executing IJM UK’s Gala Dinner (2018 & 2019), generating revenue in excess of £120,000 in a night, as well as other major events including IJM UK’s National Prayer Conference and new starters orientation week. I additionally worked closely with a broad range of stakeholders including major donors, external contractors and volunteers, as well as drawing together teams within IJM UK. Part of my role also included working closely with IJM UK interns to help ensure a positive, edifying experience, encouraging them to troubleshoot issues and grow in their skills and abilities.

International Justice Mission is a global human rights organisation that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. As Regional Development Executive, I work to raise awareness about the global issues of injustice and the work of IJM among individuals, churches, corporations and trusts, to engage them in the vision and mission of IJM. In particular I am seeking to encourage people to take a proactive step in engaging in the movement and understand the part that they can play in this vital work.

Managing all international partners and programmes, building strong, effective cross-cultural relationships and ensuring compliance of Rope’s terms of partnership and Board requirements.Responsible for leading the development of our 5-year International Strategy and the outworking of this alongside partners. Informing Board on current development thinking.Outworking processes of capacity-building with partners of different project experience and levels of competency. Working closely with partners to ensure maximum programme effectiveness and outcomes.Writing and presenting strategic documents and reports to the Board. Communicating organisational policy changes to partners in writing and ensuring these are fully understood.Heading up the ‘International Strategy Team’ working with CEO and Board member considering key strategic decisions and implementing projects to improve international accountability.Managing & monitoring all international grants, as well as setting annual grant budgets and assessing incoming project proposals and new partnerships.Identifying partnership issues and initiating discussions, preparing relevant reports for the Board in response to partnership concerns and following partner visits.Working and liaising with key individuals in external organisations when necessary. Planning and leading overseas partner visits with multiple objectives on very tight schedules.Produced and presented short films highlighting international work to share with supporters.
