My main tasks were to identify and analyse business requirements, objectives, design possible content solutions, provide technical know-how, expertise, together with the ability to think out-of-the-box. Priorities were set based on expected benefits to the stakeholder, business, and end-user. New processes were designed to flow and embed as Business as Usual in the appropriate team. Managed stakeholder relations, and external suppliers involved in projects and content initiatives. Managed project to add digital abstracts to many 1000s of books that were without the on-line;Implemented GDPR throughout the department drives, documentation, Sharepoint sites etc;Managed transfer of all department knowledge from various Sharepoint sites, personal and shared drive into one WIKI site providing a central point of access for all information for the department.

Arranged for conversion to non-standard formats destined for ingestion on internal or external platforms, repositories, or other systems which required a custom-made solution;Worked as Product Owner to develop a bespoke project tracking system using Scrum methodology and directed its development to incorporate other tracking aspects for the department, including invoices, customer information and orders and deliveries;Managed a project to complete digitisation of Elsevier’s book catalogue (10,000s books), firstly English and American titles then from EMEALA countries.

Oversaw the import process including error handling and reporting, corrections to XML and SGML files;Managed Supplier Feedback and Collection in combination with the new Electronic Warehouse II system which included user testing, workflow task handling and feedback of the system;Managed assembly of the output products as well as major backfile projects.

Supported and serviced all web based and electronic products published by Elsevier Science;Troubleshooted problems for customers and Account Managers;Maintained and changed account information in the SD Support Tool.

Contacted International Publishers daily via telephone and e-mail;Chased up subscription status for new collection journals;Updated Osprey database with publisher and journal information;
