I teach EL Civics and ESL classes for all levels in person and online. I develop practical and communicative curricula with a focus on students' levels and needs, and use games, activities, and online tools to incorporate digital literacy skills to support students' goals in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar, with Illinois state competencies in mind.

I teach meaningful, academically focused English language courses in Northeastern Illinois University's "in-house" Intensive English Program (IEP), including designing custom curriculum, creating and adapting materials, and faciliating classroom engagement. My aim at SAELL is quality, student- centered test preparation and English language instruction in a supportive, motivating environment. The courses I have taught focus on Listening & Speaking, Reading & Writing, and Grammar at the A2-C1 levels, while introducing international students to the American academic environment. I also love to develop and lead memorable enrichment excursions for students new to Chicago. In 2021, I moved course delivery to a new LMS and trained colleagues on its use. I am also a faculty member for NEIU's global online English as a Foreign Language program, SAELL Anywhere, focusing on either Listening & Speaking or Reading & Writing with students from multiple continents and diverse backgrounds.

Manage the program and implementation by Northeastern Illinois University's Genocide and Human Rights Research on Africa and the Diaspora (GHRAD) Center and Office of International Programs for The Fulbright Program's virtual Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) for scholars, researchers, and English Teaching Assistant grantees heading to Sub-Saharan Africa in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, working with our internal team, faculty and guest presenters, U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and Institute for International Education (IIE) leadership.

I was thrilled to serve Northeastern's esteemed TESOL department as a graduate assistant from 2020 to 2021. In 2020, NEIU's TESOL program celebrated its 10th successful year during the pandemic, so my role included management of innovative events, research, outreach, communications, and programming while working with the department's brilliant, diverse faculty and staff.

Serving as the departmental graduate assistant for NEIU's wonderful TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) department during its celebratory "TESOL Turns 10" year, I managed the social media presence, programmed online events and open houses that connected alumni and invited guest speakers to the TESOL community. if you were looking for a graduate certificate or a TESOL master's degree you have found the right professional family!

Andersonville Honors - Annual awards gala celebrated local businesses and community and with a goal of sustainability. Featured food, drink, and silent auction. Raised record-breaking amount for ASCA in 2016.
