I am an unabashedly ordinary human being. But I get to connect with the most extraordinary people every day.I’m Sarah, and I’m a connector.Connections are a basic human necessity. We crave closeness and interaction with others, be it in a professional or social setting. In my office, making a strong connection with clients is key. These positive connections lead to more favorable therapy outcomes. Throughout my entire life, I have always been able to connect with others. Ask my mom-she’ll tell you I made a friend wherever I went, whether it was catching newts in a river in the Smokies or sitting on a plane during a flight home to MI.My therapy career began 10+ years ago by moving 900 miles away from everything I knew to pursue a master’s degree. I began specializing in trauma work in 2012, when I was hand-picked for a high-profile home-based therapy case. Since then, I’ve enjoyed creating meaningful connections with individuals who have difficulty opening up. The connections that require more effort tend to be some of the most rewarding client experiences, inspiring me daily. I love my current practice, but after a decade in Rhode Island, Michigan has called me home.I am an Empath, so I spent a lot of time early on in my career learning to emotionally balance work and home. Naturally that led to persuading my husband to rescue a dog within a month of starting at a private practice. I instantly bonded with our pup, who we named Abby Normal, the moment I held her in my arms. Once I saw she was more interested in the humans rather than dogs at the dog park, I had my next career goal: Train Abby to be a therapy dog and bring her to work with me. So we did. Outside the office, I spend my time with my husband and/or both of our dogs exploring our neighborhood. Abby and I volunteer when we can with our pet-therapy group, and both pups like to assist me in other activities like reading (sleeping on my book) or trying a new recipe (food testers).Send me a DM, let’s connect!

Our partnership ended due to conflicts in logistical arrangements.
