Directed 3 teams on a variety of projects including migration from Magento 1.9 to 1.14, creation of a new Angular based front end, ongoing updates and maintenance of existing code while new code was in development.

Managed a team modifying an existing code base for business needs. Built out a recurring promotion (ran every 6 months) from <$1m up to $5m in sales. Other projects to configure and build out additions to a legacy system to continue to fit a growing business.

Integrating SVS Gift Cards with existing Magento shop.

Coding PHP for the "middle-end" -- not quite front end, although I coded some JS and CSS. Not quite the back end, although I helped define the interface to the Java web services. The "middle end" -- all that stuff that makes it go in the middle. Also worked on a django admin tool. Then I got the chance to be a Release Manager for a different PHP based product -- enforcing the lines between what the developers hoped was true, what QA found to be reality, and what product wanted to end up with a functional and constantly improving set of code in production.

Writing python/flask code with html/jquery/ajax interface to display new search engine results to users. Integrating feedback from multiple rounds of user testing to improve the search experience.

Finding internal corporate information and exposing it to interested parties, rather than letting it languish in unorganized piles of bits slowly drifting into irrelevancy.

Create and implement information policy to help Linden Lab excel.

Making code talk over http and port 80 (or other ports, as needed). Billing code (no really, it has to be transactionally sound), database query tuning, web services for database access, interim technical lead on search (team of one for the first 9 months, so not sure what I was leading) for 18 months, general "you need what where? *code code code* there. it's there" monkey.

Wrote up some test suites for web applications using httpunit.

Worked in a wholly Agile house writing C++ code to create a thick client for MMORPG that would take some of the server work onto the distributed computers and use voting among nodes to ensure a lack of funny business by the end user.

Worked briefly on an attempt to create an alternate payment device for internet businesses that were being affected by puritanical business moves by the big credit cards.

AOLserver, TCL, Java, Tomcat, ah, the end of the last boom. Worked on eBility.com to create community software that was Bobby compliant. Client decided that although it was completely and entirely accessible to all disabled people, it wasn't shiny enough. *sigh*

Perl CGIs, NetApp Java, Hand-Hewn HTML. The dark ages of web computing. Pre-merger with The Knot.

On-site Health & Safety Officer. Site Geologist to classify soil samples and create drill logs. Created process to submit sites for reimbursement under a CA state program that was then used for multiple sites. Preserved Chain of Custody for water samples from quarterly groundwater monitoring on various remediation sites.
