Communicator - Team Builder - Design Thinker - FacilitatorSarah MacMillan is the Head of YPO's global Forum and Learning program. She is responsible for the health and development of YPO's 5,000 forums in more than 130 countries worldwide, as well as YPO's global learning initiatives. Her team is spread across six continents support more than 6,000 member and spouse/partner volunteer leaders, or "champions," who serve as regional, chapter and network officers and forum moderators. At YPO, Sarah has overseen the global rollout of the Four-Step Forum ExplorationTM, a new Forum presentation model that leverages self-curiosity, emotional intelligence and vulnerability in a groundbreaking new approach. This new approach to Forum presentations is the single biggest innovation to the Forum meeting process in the past two decades.Sarah's professional career over the past 20 years spans nearly every sector of nonprofit and association management. She has held senior roles in marketing, communications, grants administration, donor relations and program development. Sarah came to YPO from the Travel Industry Association of America, where she managed international and domestic marketing campaigns designed to rebuild consumer confidence and address worldwide US travel safety concerns following the horrific events of 9/11.Sarah received her certification in mediation through the American Arbitration Association and has trained in a variety of skills and personality assessment tools, including Myers-Briggs, DiSC and The Gallup Organization's Strengthsfinder index. She has experience in building and leading high-trust, high-performance remote/virtual global teams and is certified in the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance Model.Sarah links only to others she knows but will follow anyone with a deep intellectual curiosity about the world and our place in it, a moral compass pointed towards authenticity, excellent grammar and a sense of humor.
