Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Associate Vice Provost of Academic Programs and Partnerships, the Director of Global Partnerships shapes and supports the development of partnerships with international institutions to facilitate mutually beneficial connections and grow multifaceted relationships across the globe to encourage international engagement, such as student and faculty mobility and research collaborations in accordance with the University’s mission. This position will focus on global partnership strategy, manage the process and daily communication of partnership building with institutions abroad, lead the planning and hosting of visiting international delegations, collaborate with other units at UC Davis to grow comprehensive global partnerships, and manage the collection and communication of relationship data in support of the strategic plans of UC Davis and Global Affairs. The position holds supervisory responsibility for two direct reports: the Assistant Director of Partnerships and Faculty Engagement and the Delegations and Travel Coordinator.

The Director of Global Partnerships serves as the primary point of contact for global partnerships and is an integral part of the NC State University Office of Global Engagement leadership team. The Director is a key player in developing and managing NC State University’s global partnership strategy, facilitating global partnership agreements, developing innovative models for collaboration, strengthening NC State’s global relationships and reputation, and assessing the effectiveness and impact of global partnerships.The Director collaborates with the Global Engagement leadership team to advance NC State’s mission as a leading global public research university, coordinating with academic colleges and other administrative units to develop strategic global partnerships, and managing active and diverse international relationships with global universities, research institutes, government agencies, and other NGOs in support of NC State’s Global Engagement mission – Think and Do Globally!With a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy, the Director communicates directly with global partners, organizes virtual and in-person visits to partner institutions for NC State delegations, organizes partner and other international delegation visits to the NC State campus, and coordinates NC State’s participation in consortia events, including annual meetings and conferences. Additionally, the Director is responsible for data collection and analysis, evaluation and reporting of partnership activity and impact, and content development for programs and communication related to global partnership activities.

The Manager of International Partnerships and Faculty Global Engagement is responsible for overseeing key elements of Colorado State University’s efforts with partners around the world, as well as internationalization efforts with CSU faculty. The position works directly with CSU faculty, senior leadership, and administrative staff to promote global engagement through support of international research collaborations, dual degree and other cooperative academic programs, and international opportunities for faculty, such as the Faculty Fulbright Program. The position manages the entire process of international collaboration agreements, from initial discussions with faculty to review with Legal Counsel, to final implementation. The position is also central in planning and hosting visiting international delegations. The position ensures that CSU meets its strategic goals regarding academic and research initiatives with partners worldwide. This position also plays a key role in supporting international student enrollment through dual degree programs and special tuition programs with partners. The Manager of International Partnerships and Faculty Global Engagement reports directly to the Vice Provost for International Affairs and works across all units within OIP and across campus.

Elected Chair of the Colorado State University Administrative Professional Council. The Administrative Professional Council’s purpose is to represent and promote the interests of administrative professionals at Colorado State University and to facilitate communication across campus. Members are dedicated to researching, discussing, making recommendations to the CSU Administration, and assisting in implementation, when warranted, issues regarding employment and benefits that have the potential to affect the welfare of Administrative Professionals.

• Lead efforts to develop and manage strategic, effective, and results-oriented partnerships between CSU and international institutions working closely with campus leadership including the offices of the Provost, General Counsel, and Vice President for Research and others that align with campus internationalization goals. • Develop campus-wide procedures and practices regarding international agreements, hosting international delegations and enhancing international partnerships. • Provide administrative support for over $4 million annually in tuition support for international student recruitment and retention.• Manage the development of new dual degree partnership programs, working closely with academic departments, student affairs and other units across campus to build and sustain innovative academic collaborations aimed at increasing international student enrollment. • Develop, implement and manage CSU’s Global Engagement Directory — a comprehensive database highlighting CSU’s global footprint including over 200 international agreements in over 60 countries. • Represent Colorado State University to external constituents including international VIPs, visiting delegations, and local government, diplomatic and nonprofit organizations.• Campus Liaison for Fulbright working with interested faculty and staff to support their application.

The International Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for coordinating majorelements of Colorado State University’s efforts with partners around the world. Thisposition will play a key role in enhancing international student enrollment throughdual degree programs and special tuition programs with partners, global facultymobility, international opportunities for students, and collaborative research withglobal partners. The position works directly with CSU faculty, senior leadership andadministrative staff to develop partnership agreements, and to support thedevelopment and implementation of partnership initiatives. The position will also becentral in planning and hosting visiting delegations when partner institutions visitCSU. The position will help ensure that CSU meets its strategic goals regardingacademic and research initiatives with partners worldwide.

● Positively influence, contribute to, and improve the quality of life of students through programming,community development activities, consistent enforcement of shipboard policies and procedures, and by forming appropriate relationships with each student in my sea.● Provide oversight for the general welfare of all students, and in particular, those students assigned to a residential area ("sea") of 84 students. ● Serve on a rotating "first responder" on-call circuit for situations that need attention for a community of 700 faculty, staff and students. ● Advise Social Entrepreneurship student group● Managed a social entrepreneurship pitch competition that offered cash prizes to the winning teams.● Lead field programs in port as a trip liaison on daylong and multi-day trips.

Responsible for the community development, safety, supervision and administration of 4,000 persons residing in university apartments complexes. Provides leadership and support for the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Family Student Housing Apartment programs through shared duty and administrative processes. Responds to all resident issues, co-creates neighborhood programs, training and supervision for a staff of Resident Assistants, Assistant CC, and various student positions, provides on-call assistance and responds to emergencies as needed. Liaisons with various campus and departmental offices to provide outstanding service to residents.

● Supervise 3 professional Assistant Resident Directors, 15 Resident Assistants, and various Front Desk workers in two freshman residence hall towers housing 800 students. ● Serves as a member of the Student Program Leadership Team, responsible for a comprehensive living learning program serving 9000 residents in Housing.● Provides leadership in the development of a robust academic support, educational and social program for residents, while creating and maintaining a high level of safety, security, and well-being for all residents● Actively collaborates in the planning and presentation of a multi-faceted selection, training and development program for student staff.● Collaborate with various living-learning communities in San Miguel and San Nicolas halls.● Provides direction and leadership in the 24/7 emergency response system, ~200 student conduct and counseling sessions, supervising the front desk operations, and development and management of the buildings' annual community development plan.

Programs included presentations by life long learners, faculty, students and community partners. ● Lead field programs in port as a trip liaison on daylong and multi-day trips.

As an Area Coordinator, I oversaw 7 different communities at the University of Virginia that each had a special focus. Those communities are the Lawn, the Range, the Johnson-Malone-Weedon Transfer and Upperclass Student Community, the Language Houses, the Hereford Residential College, Brown Residential College and the International Residential College. I supervised 6 Senior Residents who were Graduate and Undergraduate staff members. They each ran one of these communities and each had a RA staff that they supervise. Each community is unique and has different needs and I worked to support them all.

As an Assistant Hall Director, I had a variety of responsibilities ranging from managing a 24 hour Front Desk, to advising the Residence Hall Association and taking students to various regional conferences. I worked to develop student leadership, manage student employees, adjudicate student conduct and work with students to program for First Year students to meet student learning outcomes. I was able to sit on a variety of committees helping to organize family programs, plan homecoming events, and to review policy and propose changes.

I worked to assess all RA programming that had taken place in the 2008-2009 school year. I also worked in assisting the Orientation program in their "Coffee and Conversation" parent program.

Lived with a host family in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia for one year and attended a local high school.
