“Changing the way CANCER is Navigated in the Workplace”Following my own experience as a Cancer Patient, and my subsequent role as Engagement and Development Officer at CancerCare - I've had endless conversations with people and I have been blown away by the lack of support for Employers when it comes to how they can best support their Employees when it comes to Managing Cancer in their workplace.More needs to be said...More needs to be understood...More needs to be DONE...I am on a MISSION to help the people affected by Cancer to Return to work and get back to some form of Normality.Cancer impacts EVERYONE, and Productivity takes a huge hit. (And so does Retention!)I've created a bespoke interactive Training Programme which can address this and I need help to spread the word and make sure as any people as possible can get this support and encouragement,,,I am building this business to be a force for good, and I intend to support lots of local Charities by donating a percentage of the profits we generate...This isn't just for every Employer - It's for EVERYONE...

Since being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2013, and subsequently using some of the amazing services they have - I have actively supported CancerCare in my local area by supporting local events, and getting involved as often as I can...

I was involved in a very front facing proactive engagement role for the amazing work being done by CancerCare…I was responsible for creating opportunities and engaging with the public, health care professionals and other 3rd sector organisations and service users.I developed ongoing relationships and connections with the wider communities - including marginalised groups, and ensured corporate partnerships have been developed where possible.I also established interactive talks and discussions within educational sites - including the NHS and local School’s / Universities / Colleges.I also created opportunities for people with a lived experience to contribute to future Cancer Services.I enjoyed collaborating extensively with other Cancer Support providers - including Macmillan “Right beside you” project, “Living with and beyond Cancer” and Cancer Help in Preston.I was instrumental in establishing successful peer support projects - including a well attended pop up Cafe (Hug in a Mug) and a Nature Connection / Wellbeing Allotment group (Thrive). We also ran an online Support Group (Phoenix) which was ahead of its time and vital during Covid.
