As lead developer for the electrical utility demand response application, I designed, implemented, and maintained services and applications allowing electrical grid operators to perform on-demand load shaping of the energy curve. These products enable electrical utilities and their consumers to make more efficient use of existing resources, thus reducing the need to build expensive, dirty "peaker" power plants. Using demand response technology, utilities can control and curtail distributed networks of residential and commercial/industrial devices (thermostats, lighting, water heaters, and other appliances). I've worked extensively to design, implement, and test smart charging and dispatch routines for stored energy resources such as batteries and electric vehicles (PHEV).Consumer portal. Designed and developed a residential energy portal that allows consumers to control and visualize thermostats, relays, energy storage, solar panels, and other residential electrical equipment.Other products. Designed and developed Web-based CRM and provisioning tools, data visualization and scheduling tools.
