I have a deep love for combining my knowledge of multiple fields to solve the complex puzzles our genome poses. Through my Biochemistry research, I delved into the intersection of molecular biology, organic chemistry, and pharmaceutical design, and through studying Forensic Science, I expanded my analytical skills and applications of genetics. Interning with the oncology and neuroscience departments at Johns Hopkins Hospital cemented my passion for clinical DNA analysis. More recently, I've been flexing my multitasking muscles by managing the QC Chemistry Lab at Pharmatech Labs while pursuing a Bioinformatics degree at Utah Valley University. My research has me annotating gene sequences, predicting phenotypes via bioinformatics and molecular modeling, and communicating my findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
