• Strategic and Operational responsibility for building and visitor services, commercial activities, human resources. Including but not restricted to:
• Member of the Senior Management Team reporting to the Board of Trustees. Contributing to budget setting and monitoring, strategy setting and long term planning.
• Management of all staff contracts, welfare, induction and other training requirements.
• Recruitment and performance management responsibility for visitor services team, cafe and shop staff, volunteers, interns.
• Responsibility for delivering a high quality customer service with the front of house teams
• Maximising income through commercial enterprises such as Museum cafe, shop, and venue hires

• Managing all aspects of the Charity’s financial and legal matters including production of accounts to year end sign off/audit, negotiation of lease, and Companies House correspondence. Authorised signatory.
• Preparing cashflows; devising budget reports and tracking.
• Producing newsletters and research material using DTP software.
• Briefing and monitoring freelancers, volunteers and consultants.

• Attending Governing Body meetings for 4 schools.
• Recording minutes and advising on statutory compliance.

• Re-establishing and implementing new company procedures.
• Responsibility for all Sales and Purchase Ledger functions.

• Co-ordinating building leases, facilities management, fleet management.
• Management of cleaners & gardeners (employed and contract).
• Implementing and maintaining risk assessment and health & safety policies.
• Supporting computer networks (PC and Mac) and all office equipment.
• Assisting with recruitment and interviewing.

• Generating new sales – company turnover increased 40% on previous year.
• Establishing work practices and procedures for sales and administration.

• Exceeding targets within technical scientific and general I.T. sales mainly to the MOD.
• Representing company at events, presentations and product launches.

• Providing full secretarial support to Joint Managing Directors.
• Co-ordinating buildings maintenance and facilities management.
• Organising and attending regular open days and exhibitions for three company offices.
