A large part of this role is internal communications. This includes working with the different clinical services to communicate their information and news, internally and externally. To communicate the Trust’s news externally I work with the regional media, distributing press releases and responding to any enquiries they have. I also look after the communications email account, answering enquiries from both staff and the public. Each month I also write an email which is delivered to partners and stakeholders of the Trust to keep them up to date with the latest news. I currently look after the Trust's external website; this can include briefing and overseeing new design by an outside agency through to using the content management system to keep the website up to date. On a daily basis I look after the Trust’s social media channels i.e. Twitter and Facebook and work with the team to develop online campaigns to highlight the work the Trust does. I also attend regular public meetings to ‘live tweet’, using Twitter as a way of engaging with a wider audience. Each month I analyse the Trust's media coverage and social media engagement to produce a performance report for LYPFT's Board of Directors. I put together two of the Trust's magazines, Imagine and Your Stories, which is sent to over 15,000 members and accessed by people using our services and staff. This task involves contacting individuals, teams and services to communicate their news, copy writing, proofing and photographing the subjects. As well as the magazines I help produce copy for information leaflets and review all materials to ensure they meet with the Trust’s brand guidelines. I am also involved in planning events, which range from fundraisers to awareness raising events as well as attending events to help out with a range of activities. I'm currently involved in the Love Music Leeds, a project using the power of music to help fight mental health discrimination. www.lovemusicleeds.org.uk
