Climate change touches every part of our collective lives as a global community, and catalyzes public servants to face the problem with excellence, deep compassion, and bravery. I infuse everything that I do with joy, curiosity, positive energy, and an enthusiastic commitment to problem solving and connection-building. My highest and best calling comes from when my work and expertise can lift up and serve the success of my colleagues, community, and our robust and intersectional coalitions. My favorite professional experiences have come from leading convenings, building strategy, and facilitating power-building between scientists, climate justice experts and legal scholars, and civil society organizations.I bring 12+ years of climate and environmental science expertise, including a strong primary-author publication record, dozens of scientific presentations, federal grant writing success, student mentorships experiences, and college course teaching. In recognition of my scientific contributions, I awarded a Kavli Fellowship with the National Academy of Science. I have a well-established track record in nonprofit and philanthropic leadership, governance, board service, operations, and financial control. This experience includes meeting organizational budgets between $1.5-3.5M, directing annual grant making and strategic corporate philanthropy, and executing complex organizational transition, such as mergers and financial acquisitions.
