About Sarah Pedersen

In May 2024, I graduated cum laude from Princeton with a B.S.E. in Computer Science and certificates (minors) in Asian American Studies & Gender and Sexuality Studies. I am currently a software engineer at Microsoft working on the Windows Build as a part of Azure E+P's Engineering Systems. I interned at Microsoft twice in both software and product roles. I also have research experience in Sociology and Public Policy on a project with the Princeton Office of Population Research analyzing COVID-19 response and recovery in Appalachian Kentucky, as well as an independent project with Princeton CITP studying data privacy perceptions amongst Gen Z. I am passionate about Asian American Studies and racial/gender representation in engineering. From my experiences in academics/industry & in leadership of Society of Women Engineers, I know there is still a long way to go for people of color in CS, and I want to prioritize lessening this gap as a part of my future career.
