About Sarah P.

I have served the weather industry as a federal employee, federal contractor, and in the private sector over the 24 years of my career. In my role as Winter Weather Services Program Manager for the Analyze, Forecast, and Support (AFS) portfolio of the National Weather Service (NWS), I oversee the agency’s policies regarding winter weather products and services and facilitate the enhancement of collaborative, probabilistic, and impact-based winter products. I am excited to lead the development of the short- and long-range vision of the winter program vision and its strategic plans, seeking new approaches to problems given existing constraints and capabilities. I am proud to serve on the AMS Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting (WAF) and the Interagency Committee for Advancing Meteorological Services (ICAMS) Joint Action Group (JAG) for Transition of Research and Development into Services.

Listed skills include Meteorology, Weather, Climate, Gis, and 45 others.
