Sarah Ewart is a Founder and Managing Partner of Adduna Health Partners, a firm bringing broad health expertise and a collaborative approach to complex health challenges in the US and around the world. She has more than 25 years of experience, most of which have been spent advancing health innovations and impact in the nonprofit, private, and philanthropy sectors. Sarah has a decade of strategy consulting experience. For much of this time, she has been a global health consultant and senior advisor to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she is currently leading several global health strategy, policy, and advocacy projects. Her past consulting clients have included Atomo Diagnostics, the Boston Consulting Group, the Global Health Innovative Technology Fund, Global Health Investment Corporation, Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Medicines for Malaria Venture, Oliver Wyman, PATH, and the Swedish International Development Agency. Earlier, as staff at the Gates foundation, Sarah implemented a novel strategy and advanced partnerships that successfully raised tens of millions of dollars in new funding for global health research & development and served on the team that successfully structured and marketed the foundation’s first impact investment fund. In previous roles, Sarah was Chief of Staff at Seattle Children's, where she advised the executive team and led the development of its cancer strategy. Sarah was earlier the Managing Director of the Global Oncology program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, supporting its programs in Kampala, Uganda and Seattle, Washington. Sarah also worked as a Program Officer for the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative. She became passionate about global health as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal and held early career roles at the World Bank and the US Agency for International Development in Washington, DC. Sarah has extensive experience advancing health in sub-Saharan Africa, having worked in both West and East Africa. Sarah holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in international development studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Based in Seattle, Sarah enjoys staying involved with her local community. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Seattle Girls' School to support its mission to inspire and develop courageous leaders.
