Reporting to the Group Human Resources Director and working closely with the HR and Leadership team to design and lead the cross-company management, leadership and soft skills development programmes to build our 'Way of Working' agenda and develop our talent for the future needs of the business. Programmes included Learning to Lead, Management Essentials and Achieving Results Through People.- Set up Apprenticeship Levy and successfully secured our position on the government approved list of training providers (RoATP)- Set up business as an ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) approved centre with recognition for in-house management development programmes- Designed apprenticeship pathways for Software Engineer, Digital Marketer, IT Infrastructure Technician, Business Admin, Team Leader, Data Analyst

Reporting to the HR Director and partnering with the Senior Management team to identify learning and development opportunities across all business functions. Responsible for the creation, development and execution of leadership development, talent management and succession planning initiatives with line management responsibilities for the L&D team.Key achievements: I was the founder and set up from scratch the award winning River Island Academy which was "born" in 2015. After defining the global L & D strategy for the business, I led a team of six and together we built a range of face to face and virtual programmes, launched a new learning portal and implemented Oracle software. We were proud to win the HR Excellence Award for HR Team of the Year in 2015 for our work which included but was not limited to consulting with the business to establish L & D requirements, designing a range of over 200 L & D interventions, partnering with the ILM to accredit leadership programmes and much more! I led the project that abolished the "dreaded annual appraisal" and replaced this with an in-house designed career development programme including a suite of tools and resources to help all employees fulfill their potential in their role. This was another award winning company first.
