I'm a full-stack web developer with a ton of people skills. For over a decade, I've worked in the non-profit sector. When I decided it was time for a new direction, I considered a lot of options. The combination of logic-based problem-solving with creativity and design made web development an appealing choice, as well as the almost limitless possibilities to which it can be applied. What challenge can't be solved by a smart, creative team using technology in a new way?Having decided upon my new path, I did some research and then signed up for Dev BootCamp, a intensive 19-week web development program where participants learn not only the technical programming skills needed to become a developer, but also how to learn, ask the right questions, and to be a strong team player. Through my previous experience I've learned a lot about teaching, training, and motivating others. I have learned how to analyze data and create strategic plans to get the best results with limited resources. I can manage multiple projects, assess progress, coordinate logistics, problem solve. I've supervised a number of different teams, and can effectively lead from in front or behind. Now, I'm looking for opportunities to merge this experience with my programming skills to build new things and solve problems.I'm always looking to connect with others to share ideas, work on a project, or talk about what's new in the tech world.
