Talent Acquisition Recruiter
Partnered with American Airlines (AA) in the Reservations group to recruit and retain talent for the union-based Representative role throughout four different AA Reservations Offices in the US.Specialized/focused primarily on the office located in Raleigh-Durham, NC (RDU), assisting in hiring over 800+ representatives for that location alone. Sent daily reports in changes in applicant numbers, new hire starts, offers made, and any pending new hires that were awaiting their start date. Assisted running/ran weekly meetings with the Reservations Department and Talent to report on pending pre-employment statistics, pending interview invites to candidates, and any candidates that were still pending background items in process.Invited to join and attended weekly reporting meetings to assist AA analysts in reconciling numbers presented to executive leadership at AA.Drafted up legal verbiage to be approved for a conditional hiring project that was exclusive to the Reservations group. Handled all four office locations after the sudden departure of my colleague. Trained all subsequent additions to the team as the Reservations hiring project grew larger. Assisted my coordinator colleagues in clearing pending new hires for start for Reservations and other departments at AA. Attended and assisted with multiple hiring events where Reservations Representatives were made offers. Assigned training start dates to pending new hires and worked with candidates who needed to change their start date leading up to their hire. Established a great rapport with the management at the RDU Reservations Office. Assisted in communicating what is involved in a union role to candidates who were unfamiliar with unions/had never held a union role before.Once the Reservations hiring was complete for PeopleScout, I assisted in technical Union hiring and, later, have been responsible for technical and customer service corporate hiring on the American Airlines account.
