Responsible for overseeing product, especially campus-specific clothing, accessories, and gifts. This included analyzing sales data, trend forecasting, ordering appropriate product that adheres with licensing/branding standards, receiving and managing inventory, auditing and updating product displayed on store website, and training booksellers on company and store standards for visual merchandising. Acted as in-store expert in utilizing the store inventory management system CORE. As a member of the store management team, I aided in the transition from a campus-run store to the new B&N College store. This included building organizational systems for receiving paperwork and inventory, instructing coworkers not yet familiar with company merchandising standards and processes, and converting the sales floor to a space that is appealing to customers while also driving sales and adhering to company standards.
