Implement an organization-wide Digital Asset Management system. Provide expertise over current grant-funded digitization projects.

Under Senior Archivist, managed the following projects:*12,000+ BSO program books made publicly accessible online: developed metadata template, liaisoned with digitization vendors, trained 1 project assistant, managed metadata exports from OPAS database to CONTENTdm, and provided metadata expertise on project team overseeingdevelopment of searchable online.

Scanned archival photographs and uploaded digital files to CONTENTdm project client. Added descriptive, administrative and technical metadata to digital objects for inclusion in online directory. Suggested terms for inclusion in controlled vocabulary for subject headings. Documented procedures for future projects.

Completed 1,000+ reference transactions in person, and by email, chat and/or phone. Assisted Business Librarian in special research projects, and helped migrate Business Research Guides from MediaWiki to LibGuides.

Scheduled and conducted in-depth reference appointments covering job hunting, internship, graduate school, financial aid and career exploration resources. Maintained, updated and organized wiki guides on relevant career topics. Performed market research and developed up-to-date handouts for newsletters and workshops. Assisted with assessing and moving.

Lenox, MA

Created a searchable Access database that functions as a public catalog for the Copland Library CD collection. Cataloged over 950 LPs and integrated into the CD catalog. Assisted in distributing chamber music parts for Tanglewood Fellows. Managed rental returns for chamber music parts. Provided reference and circulation services for Tanglewood Fellows.

Provided reference services (in-person, email, chat and phone) and circulation services (course reserves, shelf reading, stacks maintenance). Assisted in archival reference requests. Performed research projects.

As a grant writer, I identified funding prospects, drafted proposals, and performed follow-up with potential funders. I also project managed the grant proposal work plan, working closely with the Executive Director to ensure that proposals and reports were submitted on deadline.

I processed 6 boxes of a feminist organization’srecords. Using an XML template, I also created a finding aid that will ultimately be added to HOLLIS, the Harvard University OPAC.

Assisted in cataloging and processing a backlog of 63 items. Helped clean up library catalog and documented software procedures for future library use.

Added signs to shelves to aid patrons in library use. Shelved books. Performed other tasks as needed.

I contributed 192 weekly articles on current musicians, contemporary composers, and recent albums to the Classical Music section, as well as managed the section blog and commenting features.

As an intern at Generous Giving (Sept. 2005-May 2004), I conducted research for special projects, reviewed and evaluated materials for Generous Giving's online resource center, edited conference transcripts for publication online and answered customer service emails. Once my internship was over, I continued occasional freelance writing for Generous Giving.
