Rapidly pivoted social contact group delivery to digital/phone activity, volunteer phone befriending and welfare support for older people, carers, vulnerable adults and families. 3,000 service users contacted and triaged within the first two weeks of the initial lockdown.- Delivered an award-winning emergency relief food distribution hub to meet unmasked food poverty locally in partnership with the local authority, The Felix Project/FareShare and 18 community organisations. Implemented within two weeks from scratch, provided 2,641 essential emergency food boxes to 540 local people in crisis over the year of operation. - Initiated the process to become a proudly, actively anti-racist organisation. Proactively leading an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion group of staff and trustees to learn and bring black and minoritised voices into the core of our programme design, and to grow our diversity internally.- Generated several strategic multi-year core grants with donors such as Mercers (£90k). Secured new BBC Comic Relief funding to pilot a very successful two-year befriending through sport and activity project. -
