For example, Sarah was an absolute champion for me when I told her I wanted to go back to school and get my MBA while working for Jackson & Coker. An MBA was not required for my current role, or any future role for that matter, so it was simply a personal goal of mine. Yet when I ran the idea by Sarah, she lit up and told me to go for it. Then, she went above and beyond by reaching out to others in an effort to help identify additional support that could be offered to me as a JC employee going back to school. She would send me cards of encouragement at the end of my semesters when everything was especially hectic, and two years later, when I finished my MBA program, she made a point to remember my graduation and celebrate my accomplishment, despite the fact that she had moved on to a different division within JC and was no longer my leader (I cried when that change happened, by the way). Her mentorship in the office also helped me manage to exceed my sales goals both years while completing the program, too. Outside of my immediate family, Sarah was truly my biggest cheerleader during my education, and her kindness and support during those really busy, really difficult years is something I will NEVER forget. To this day, even as Sarah has moved on to other opportunities outside of Jackson and Coker, I am STILL calling and texting her for advice on a regular basis. I look up to her in so many ways and I am so thankful to Jackson & Coker for putting her in my path -- I can honestly say my career would be significantly different, and likely not in a good way, without Sarah.
