Between 2000 and 2006, I attended college full time. During college, I worked at Gulf Coast Marine as a marketing intern and office assistant. I was also involved in inventory, sales and promotions. This was a great way to utilize what I had learned in college courses to real world ideas. This internship was paid and also counted towards a course for my degree. While in college, I also worked by assignment for corpus beat magazine which is an online publication which also prints out a paper back version seasonally. I wrote various career profiles on varous entrepreneurs around the coastal bend. This was a paid by assignment job for students wanting to gain some extra cash while attending college and who also wanted to learn what the journalism world was all about. Through my struggle of findng a stable job, I did alot of volunteer work with the American Diabetes Association, St Judes Hospital in which I raise money for cancer research on a yearly basis and also events set up for The American Cancer Society. I also worked temporarily for South Texas Public Broadcasting Systems, which many know as K E D T. I was the associate producer for the annual auction and helped with the line of production for the main auction. Alot of different mutli tasking and computer data entry and incoming and outgoing calling was involved in this position. I am now looking into taking some online courses to occupy my time and looking for a position in which I hope will make me more connected with society and other people and is something I enjoy doing. I am considering going back to school and gaining a teaching certificate.Specialties: Marketing plans, advertising, promotions, sales, journalism, communications, media, non-profit volunteering, managerial and financial acounting course knowledge, marketing research, and extensive reports.
