I develop reproducible bioinformatics and statistical analyses for genetic and genomic datasets and answer research questions related to aquatic species of interest to the provincial government. My favourite research projects involve investigating population genetics and genomic in the context of wildlife stressors (disease, environment shifts, etc). My favourite animal are equines, and I’m a pretty handy barefoot trimmer, but I have yet had the opportunity to investigate breed specific pathology thorough the lens of genetic and genomics. My experience comes from time spent in various pathology, molecular, forensic and DNA laboratories. I am a team player with well rounded communication and organization skills. I enjoy teaching and I have a strong sense of civic duty. In my spare time I seek out opportunities to continue my education as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and enjoy being able to apply my skills and mentor many great youth while administrating the Army Cadet program in our local community.
