I'm incredibly passionate about educating and connecting with project teams to find real solutions to complex sustainability issues within the construction industry. While my role varies from day to day and is integrative at heart, my responsibilities typically include the following: Work with project teams to generate and manage commercial project sustainability plans (including various rating systems); track and implement strategies to reduce embodied carbon on projects (including A4/A5 and performing WBLCAs); guide corporate environmental responsibility; and be an advocate for sustainability training and education both internally and throughout the industry. About me:I graduated with a BS in Appropriate Technology from Appalachian State University in May of 2015, and in August 2017 with a Masters of Technology with two concentrations: Building Science, and Sustainable Building Design + Construction. Upon graduation, I joined Holder Construction as a Project Engineer, working on two higher education projects prior to transitioning to our Sustainable Services team.
