Dr. Sarah Lyons maintains an active freelance schedule as a performer, accompanist, and teacher. Recent engagements include the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Avila University, and Violetta Strings. Her students have earned Superior ratings by Mid-America Music Association. She also oversees the Music Ministry program at Parkville Presbyterian Church. Additionally, Lyons serves the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists: previously as the Promotions Chair of the 2018 National Convention, and currently as the Certification/Education Chair.

Select and perform hymns, anthems, and solo organ literature appropriate to the Lutheran liturgy for Sunday worship, as well as additional services during Advent and Lent, weddings, and funerals. Also serve as the primary accompanist for soloists and choir. Bethany is a 3,000 member LCMS congregation with two locations: Overland Park, Kansas and Stilwell, Kansas.

The Lawrence Piano Studio is a 300 member studio. I co-facilitate group lessons to students ages five to thirteen, as well as maintain a private studio of twenty students from age five to sixty-five.

I taught private lessons to students ages five to sixty-five. I taught privately before the opening of the CMS in August 2009. My students have received perfect scores at Solo and Ensemble contest, and performed solos and duets in recitals at the conclusion of each semester. I also hosted a Pedals, Pipes, and Pizza event to introduce students from various studios to the organ.

Performed hymns and postludes for Sunday masses, as well as additional services (weddings, Christmas, Easter).

Played every Sunday through high school, then served in a substitute capacity.

Planned choir music, conducted the choir for performances and rehearsals, played organ and piano.

Played piano for Sunday services and additional services (Christmas, Easter).

Accompanied all rehearsals and performances of The Wizard of Oz.

Did minor woodworking, as well as organ tuning throughout northeastern Wisconsin.

Accompanied students at solo and ensemble contest, as well as choral concerts.
