I support the County of Nevada's five elected supervisors through policy and financial analysis, constituent communications and casework, project management, legislative tracking and advocacy, and cross-agency coordination. I also serve on the County's Broadband Working Group (which works to expand broadband in the county through grants programs, program development and legislative advocacy), I advance projects on behalf of the County Executive Office, and support numerous commissions and councils.

Nevada City, California, United States

Performed legislative research and analysis, as well as drafting letters of advocacy on legislation. Coordinated work group discussions on timely issues, and worked on special projects with numerous community stakeholders such as the restoration of Independence Trail. Supported the South Yuba River Public Safety Cohort, including helping to organize a virtual Town Hall event, and researching and writing an in-depth report on public safety issues in the South Yuba River corridor. The report included a risk analysis, and culminated in policy recommendations to help guide the Board’s 2021 objective-setting.

Assists the County in the management of solid and hazardous waste by reviewing and providing input on the County’s comprehensive long-range plan for the disposal and recycling of solid and hazardous waste, and the management of the County's solid waste operations, including all related financial matters.

Los Angeles, Ca

Played a key role in raising resources for MPP’s work to replace marijuana prohibition with laws allowing for medical and adult use. Over 13 years, my role spanned many areas within the organization's fundraising team: analysis and reporting on fundraising campaigns; organizing and executing events (from 10 to 600 attendees); identifying and qualifying prospects; securing new major donors; securing corporate partnerships; ballot initiative fundraising; development of funding proposals and presentations; and public speaking.My proudest achievement was personally raising over a third of the $6.2M MPP and its allies put into the organization's Proposition 205 ballot initiative campaign in the 2016 election cycle in Arizona.

I managed my own small business, providing training and support for broadcast and post-production technology. I managed client relationships, maintained our website, performed our bookkeeping, hired, scheduled and paid contractors, spearheaded our branding and marketing, and assisted with business development. Clients included ABC, Warner Brothers, NFL Films, Fox Sports, Al Jazeera America, Linda.com (now LinkedIn Learning), Hallmark Channel, etc.

Continued work performed at Ernst & Young, in addition to performing market studies for low-income housing (tax credit properties). Gathered and analyzed demographic, economic, and market data; summarized results and recommendations in written reports.

Washington, D.C.

Provided policy, financial and real estate portfolio analysis to federal agencies. Conducted market research, developed transaction documents and financial projections for public-private partnerships, monitored legislation, made oral presentations, and drafted proposals. Major projects included $100M and $77M military housing privatization initiatives at Tinker and Shaw AFBs, where I helped generate the projects’ proformas, solicitations, and reviewed and scored RFPs from private developers.

Provided legislative analysis and wrote member’s speaking points for legislation heard in Civil Practices and Criminal Jurisprudence committees. Met with lobbyists and constituents on member’s behalf. Researched legislation under development and assisted with constituent casework.
