I'm currently a Research Assistant and MS Candidate in the Department of Fisheries & Oceanography at the UMass School for Marine Science & Technology. My research focuses on coupling economic and ecological models to study how supply chains and ecosystems interact within local and global seafood networks.

I was a research assistant for the Summer of 2024, working under Professor Adrian Jordaan, developing a protocol for extracting and measuring microplastics in herring.

Monitor colony health, make adjustments to the hive equipment, resolve issues with the colony and the queen, harvest honey and sample it for lab testing. Record detailed information about the colony in our mobile field app, Bzzz.Interact with clients to update them about their bees, deliver honey, get access to the hives, or walk them through a hive inspection.Safely transport bees and equipment in company vans. Travel throughout the region, to service hives both rural and urban environments. Think rooftops, and city greenways, but also backyards and farms. Lead the shop team daily in building, maintaining, storing, and loading equipment.Gather feedback from beekeepers in the field, summarizing and presenting at weekly friday team check ins. Assist with honey extraction, bottling, and labeling.
