Responsible for delivering accurate accruals and prepayments to enable reporting and analysis against budget and forecast within the UK Market.Preparation of monthly accruals and pre payments.Manage the UK Overhead cost centres, by working closely with cost centre owners, reporting monthly results plus undertaking ad hoc analysis and investigating cost overspend to support the UK leadership team in delivering budget. Assist the Senior Stock Auditor with the maintenance of the company’s stock integrity. Set up and analysis of store stock take results. Communicating stock take procedures to new and old store managers and providing education where needed. Investigating negative stock levels throughout the company. Involved with overall loss prevention for the company and analysis of eBay sellers.

Processing invoices and post as it arrives into the department. Making sure invoices are entered to the correct departments and cost centres. Following invoices through the authorization process to payment and clearing all queries where applicable. Responsible for BACS run, TT and CHAPS payments.

Project managed the integration of the deferred payments team in house from GE Capital. Manage the deferred payments team on a day to day basis. Ensure all outstanding monies are collected within the correct time scales and allocated accordingly. Involved with the movement of other debt areas into the deferred payments team. Produce monthly control accounts and delivered results via presentations to Management Accounts and stores. Assist with store profit and loss accounts including charge backs to each store based on discrepancies. Assess customer stock levels of deferred payment vouchers and replenish where appropriate from 3rd party supplier.

Allocate AR targets and support achievement of country AR targets. Track and report individual team members status against cash targets on a weekly basis. Ensure full coverage against all team disputed items. Motivate the team driving towards achievement of all targets. Coach and support the educational requirements of the individual team members, identify knowledge gaps and working pro-actively to fill them. Drive the Team Leader forum and share knowledge to support the AR management messages. Support and encourage the team to focus on building client relationship, including increased telephone contact with customer and at least on customer visit per quarter. Act as first level of escalation for the team. Highly involved with ISO9001 auditing of the department and assisting external auditors on a monthly basis.
