I am currently a student at Indiana University, working towards a bachelor's degree in Finance. Two years at the Purdue Krannert School of Business provided me with a foundation for my education in business. While the transferring process was challenging, I am thankful to have received education from two very different universities, as it has allowed me to acquire a more diversified and broader education in business. My resilience has paved the way for my success, as I have been able to adapt to the new culture, environment, courses, professors, and much more at Indiana University.My experience at Puccini's Smiling Teeth and Hawthorn's Golf and Country Club have expanded my interpersonal communication, time and crisis management, organizational, and teaching skills. Each customer requires different types of communication, meaning I have learned how to adequately communicate and assist all different kinds of people. I learned time management through juggling between taking orders, serving food and drinks, cleaning tables, and keeping all customers satisfied throughout an entire shift. Burnt food, missing items, and unhappy customers allowed me to develop crisis management skills, as I was responsible for keeping all customers satisfied. Training new employees to do everything mentioned above taught me patience, creativity, and collaboration, and in turn, improved my teaching skills.I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to apply my interpersonal communication, time and crisis management, organizational, and teaching skills, and utilize my resilience in the ever changing environment of business.
